FORD FIELDS OVERVIEW
Twelve championship caliber fast pitch softball/youth baseball fields make up this venue.  Each has hard covered stands, all-weather infields and one centralized gate with concessions and restrooms.

Ford Fields has a brand new image with newly installed synthetic turf by Olympia Athletic, the same supplier to the new Yankee Stadium!  

Olympia Athletic turf is an American lead-free premier product launched by New Jersey based manufacturer- Golf Greens Fore U.  Now being installed all around the world, this product is both safe and environmentally friendly.  Olympia turf has been LaboSport tested and received a 2-star rating (highest possible rating).  The new monofilament yarn system has the following advantages over the fiberlated yarn:  smoother and softer, twice the strength, better UV resistance, better appearance retention, color is more realistic and consistent look from day 1. 

Ford Park has installed Olympia turf on four fields due to the inclement weather in Southeast Texas.  With this new turf there will be much faster drainage, leading to fewer rainouts.  Rain or shine – Play Ball!

The Southeast Texas Baseball Academy  Baseball tournaments at Ford Fields are organized by Morgan Walker, a former professional baseball player and part owner of the Southeast Texas Baseball Academy. Co-owner Jason Tyner is signed to play for the Minnesota Twins.  The Academy, near the Fields at Ford Park, offers professional instruction in batting, fielding and pitching to area youth.  For more info see www.setexasbaseballacademy.com.
